If you take a Vinyasa class, it is certain that your teacher will guide you through a Sun Salutation and will incorporate its elements throughout class.

As previously explored, a Sun Salutation is comprised of several exact poses that flow seamlessly together. Here, we will focus specifically on Chaturanga Dandasana and Urdhva Mukha Svanasana, or Upward Facing Dog.

Let’s break down how to modify and fully execute a Chaturanga flow with the use of props. You’ll need a yoga mat and one set of high-density blocks.
